The beta-2 agonist receptors are mainly found in the bronchial tract, nevertheless adverse effects are found in the digestive tract by swallowing of inhalants. The side-effects of beta-2 agonists can be explained by the generally known impact pattern of sympathetic activation. Xerostomia, dysgeusia (taste disturbances), rare allergic reactions of the oral or cervical cavity, pharynx, lips, pyrosis (heart burn) and unspecific reactions like nausea and vomiting.
